Chela Scott Weber is the Associate Head of the Tamiment Library and Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives at New York University. Prior to coming to the Tamiment, she was the Director of Library & Archives at the Brooklyn Historical Society, and has previously held positions at the Microsoft Archives, New York Transit Museum, and Benson Ford Research Center at The Henry Ford. She holds an MLIS and certificate of archival administration from Wayne State University, as well as a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts. She is an active member of the Society of American Archivists, currently serving on the Technical Subcommittee on Guidelines for Reappraisal and Deaccessioning. Her professional interests include archival management , and descriptive practice and access in our increasingly digital environment.
