Hi, this is Peter Wosh and I will be co-teaching the course this semester with Amanda French.  Looking forward to learning as much as teaching, since I am definitely someone who would be classified as a “digital immigrant,” having started my writing career on a Smith-Corona manual typewriter.  In fact, I vividly remember the magical moment when IBM developed its self-correcting typewriter ribbon.  I also confess to feeling a twang of nostalgia when reading Ted Friedman describe the introduction of “Pong” into video arcades across America during the mid-1970s.  Hope you all have fun in the class, and that it provides you with the opportunity to experiment with your own research interests in new ways.  I currently am working on a history of Manhattan College in the Bronx, and hope to use the class to further this project along.  Look forward to meeting you (and in some cases reacquainting myself with you) on Wednesday.
