About Nicole Milano

Nicole Milano is the Head Archivist at the Archives of the American Field Service and AFS Intercultural Programs in New York City.  Nicole received an M.A. in History from the University of Florida in 2009 and the Advanced Certificate in Archives from New York University in 2010.  As a student in Florida Nicole worked at the Special and Area Studies Collections at the University of Florida and the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art, and in New York served as an Archives Assistant in the New York University Archives,  the Sylvester Manor Papers Conservation Assistant in the Barbara Goldsmith Preservation Department, and the survey project intern at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Archives.  Nicole was also the 2010 Dulles Fellow at the Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library at Princeton University, where she co-curated an exhibition entitled "John F. Kennedy: From Old Nassau to the New Frontier."  Her internet archive and online exhibition on the Civil War in Florida, created for a graduate course in the Archive and Public History program at NYU, were featured in her poster presentations at the 2010 spring MARAC meeting and the 2010 SAA national conference.
